Privacy Policy
space sparks — Retro Arcade Flyer
Effective Date: April 1, 2026
Space Sparks is built and maintained by Kyle Aulerich. This policy exists to be straightforward about one thing: Space Sparks does not collect your data. Period.
This privacy policy applies to the Space Sparks mobile application (the “App”) available on the Apple App Store.
Information We Collect
None.
Space Sparks does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. Specifically:
No analytics or tracking. We do not use any analytics SDKs, crash reporters, or tracking tools. No usage data leaves your device.
No accounts or login. The player tag you choose is stored only on your device and is never sent to any server.
No advertising. Space Sparks contains no ads and no ad-related SDKs. There are no ad identifiers or tracking pixels.
No network requests. Space Sparks does not connect to any servers, APIs, or cloud services. The only exception is Apple’s Game Center, which is managed entirely by Apple (see below).
No location, contacts, camera, microphone, or health data. Space Sparks does not request or access any of these.
Data Stored on Your Device
Space Sparks stores the following data locally on your device using standard iOS storage (UserDefaults). This data never leaves your device:
Player tag — the name you choose when you first open the app
Score history — your game scores and dates
Daily challenge attempts — how many daily attempts you’ve used today
Audio preference — whether you’ve muted sound
Tutorial flag — whether you’ve seen the first-launch tutorial
All of this data can be deleted by uninstalling the app.
Apple Game Center
Space Sparks supports Apple Game Center for leaderboards. If you are signed into Game Center on your device, your scores may be submitted to Apple’s Game Center service. This is handled entirely by Apple’s frameworks and is subject to Apple’s own privacy policy. Space Sparks does not control, access, or store any Game Center data beyond what Apple provides through its standard APIs.
You can disable Game Center at any time in your device’s Settings.
Friend Challenges
When you send a challenge to a friend, Space Sparks generates a challenge code containing your player tag and score. This code is shared through your device’s native share sheet (iMessage, text, email, etc.). The code is not sent to any server — it is transmitted directly between you and your friend through whatever messaging service you choose. Space Sparks has no visibility into who you share it with or whether it was received.
Gyroscope and Motion Data
Space Sparks uses your device’s gyroscope (via Apple’s CoreMotion framework) to control your ship in-game. Motion data is processed in real time on your device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
Children’s Privacy
Space Sparks does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. The app contains no user-generated content, social features, in-app purchases, or advertising. It is rated 4+ on the App Store.
Third-Party Services
Space Sparks does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or cloud services. The only external integration is Apple Game Center, which is a first-party Apple service.
Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy is ever updated, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Given that Space Sparks collects no data, meaningful changes are unlikely.
